170709:change of luck

sent parents & patrick off to the airport early in the morning. since there is no govt control for the weekend, zofox accompanied me to do moles removal that i long to do since months back. it cost RM200 to remove 2 face moles via laser... had 2 jabs to numb my face and the next thing i smelt was bbq on my cheek. was given a tube of cream to apply and it was all done!

4hrs later, james rang me up, offering me a graphic position at his newly joined company. was given 2 days to think it over whether to join him as a graphic team.

looks like removing my moles actually change of "luck"? haha...

110709:pig out!!!

zofox left me a rm5 voucher to nandos, which expired in 3 days time, so patr & i had our brunch next to a long table of primary school kids who were having their bday party which the noise they made technically polluted the entire restaurant. Most of them had chicken and drink, but not the chips and rice... wasters! On the other hand, patr had a very yummy presentation of the chicken & taste, ofcos yummy too!

his eyes never leave the chicken....hands never leave the chips...

teddie joinned us half way thru & we proceed to queensbay after 3.5hrs, we had wong kok char sew sou, thong sui for snack in between shoppings... before we left, we decided to catch a movie – obsessed – rm13.50 for 3 tickets via my newly own gsc cc!

Next was to bring patr to experience pg saturday nite life, we had dinner at noodle station @ e-gate...which was crappy as i ordered the wrong # of my choice... darn... ended up we asked for a doggie bag to take away.

UPR, here we come! Brought him for a walk along UPR & finally we picked to sit in at soi 11 for patr’s pre-18th bday drinks - his 1st ever alcohol contained drinks in for the past 17yrs...
We ordered:
1x tequila sunrise (tequila, orange juice, grenadine syrup)
1x long island tea (vodaka, light rum, gin, tequila, fresh lemons,
coca-cola)
1x ak47 (brandy, whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, bourbon whiskey, cointreau, fresh limes, soda)

It was rather weird of the “snack plate” offered by soi11, a plate of roasted pork! I’ve never imagined a pub would ever have such special snack & the waitresses refused to take them back.

Anyway, patr tried the drinks when they were served & among the 3, patr enjoyed tequila sunrise best as it is sweet & easy to drink.
this kid is very nervous to take a pic with his 1st alcoholic-cocktail at his life...

we also bumped into splitfire with his friends, he offered an extra glass of tiger as bday drink to patr too! Perhaps teddie & i were busy chatting, part decided to finish up the rest of the drinks available on our table... After an hour, all i heard from part was.. “WOW”... from soi 11 till back home at 01:10am.
after a few sips... he cant get his hands off the straw even taking photo...

that was legendary wow face of patr....

100709:holiday eve on haagen dazs

It was pg governor bday eve, zofox & rubberband were out of town to spore. A mission was given to me to take care patr.

As usual, we worked & started to chill out in the evening! As there was no interesting prog showing on astro, and it was friday nite, so i decided to bring my lappy out to the public for the first time @ haagen dazs, autocity. It was quite happening around the area, even a Ferrari was parked at the roadside to party... to celebrate pg govt’s bday?....

we picked a 4 seaters sofa beside the glass window, ordered 3 scopes of ice-cream with a waffle + a set of choco chocolate brownie, (the ice creams were finished before i have the chance to snapshot it... :P)... we setup our lappy and nerd out via the free wi-fi...

haha... while working on some unfinished job from work, basically we din chat much verbally, instead we were IM-ing all the way till 12am.

opps... i think patr has got a sugar rushed to his brain, hence he turned grey... haha...

080709:getting to know patrick tangphao

my eldest nephew, a thai-californian, a 17 year old - patrick tangphao, was here for 2 weeks working experience + holiday.

Ever since patr touched down pg, he longed to visit starbucks. He was more than happy to have visited the nearest outlet from the office & he ordered something that i’ve never heard of... “Iced Caramel Macchiatto”. That proofs that I only keep my sight within the frappucino menu board only… how lame I am towards coffee menu… & see how happy & satisfied he was at the cafe, cold drinks, free wi-fi… ;D

040709:annual gathering @ hush, bangsar

TANG TANG TANG, it's annual gathering time!

it has been almost a year since we last parted at Kang's wed in March 2008. Initial plan was to Chillis at bangsar village, however, we were all late :P We headed to marmalde cafe at bangsar village 2 instead & 3 girls ordered 3 diff types of salad, sound of havana, crunchy paw paw & avocado accents. pity the boys who rarely have vege as main meal got to share together with extra order of pasta & pie.

we proceed to hush as part 2, opposite bv2 & ordered 3 jugs of beer & 4 pints of stout.

had a group pic before we left for part 3, mahjong at joe's place till 2am, while i enjoyed joe's childhood photos with all his neva ending ex gfs... haha...

it was quite a nite for me as i always enjoy their accompany, facts we talked, jokes we cracked.... haa.. hope the next gathering in cameron shall come soon :P

040709:vroom vroom at sepang race track

Ladies & Gentlemen, starts your engine!

it was a sunny day, after checked out from Tune Hotels, we were excited to attend our mission of the day - MERCEDES BENZ DRIVING EXPERIENCE 2009 at Sepang Race track!

After registration, we were being divided into diff colour groups and asked to change to the 'track tshirt" provided. Hilton style of food were provided for breakfast, morning tea, lunch and high-tea. Tho the food were yummy buy we tried to keep ourselves half full as we do not know what to expect during the track exercises.

there were 22 cars on track, including B, C, E, E280 AMG, S, ML classes.

Overall, we find that C class performed best on track as compare with other. I love the B class to do the steering control exercise as it has most grip for a short and medium height car.

the best part always keep to the last, as all the participants were given a chance to lap on the track for 4 laps by following the instructor's instructions. at the end of the course, each received a certificate as proof of completion of the course!

it was an awesome experience, thanks to rubberband for the tickets! i shall join more of these activities in future if chance and budget matched!

030709:Sepang's Tune Hotels

Woohooo!!!!... it was my 1st experience going on roadtrip with my cousin from penang to sepang... tho i drove for an hour up to sg perak travelling average of 100-110km/h. dennis took over the wheel after that, all the way to sepang...

using the garmin gps, yet we got lost in klia express hwy... haaa... but finally we followed the signboard that lead us to Tune Hotels, Sepang! but stupid road divider diverted us to round & round to find our way to the entrance!

My room # 239, room size is 13 foot steps x 9 foot steps. it was a 5 storey building with 48 rooms each floor... so here it is... the technology of Tune...

once checked in, each room has an electronic card which contain credits (aircon and hairdryer), the device somehow could detact for individual room only. the device displays the credit of aircon usage left on screen with a bangali image...

the kingkoil double bed, with a huge mirror reflecting the flora image wall opposite... with 2 bed lamps too! 2 hanger provided with paid aircon with advertisment board... ceiling fan was provided with full speed spinning...

wall-attached-cabinet-table with flora desgin wall next to sandblasted toilet glass door....

huge basin with advertisment board in the bathroom too!

i reckon the toilet is meant for average height asian only, as the toilet seat has limited space for ppl with long legs.. my knees were already knocking the wall when i sit on it >_<"

view from the toilet to the main entrance.

after checkin-in for 2hrs, i was under the impression of quite a nice tiny room to stay overnite, sadly...i was disturbed by the chipping sound from the birds next to the palm tree plantations!!!!!!!!!!!!! that killed my sleep at nite... but overall experience was alrite for the price we paid for a good 9hrs.
